National geography has rated Chennai’s food as the 2nd best in the world
@Arun Sreenivasan bruh, every city has its own speciality.l am from hyd but l have to admit Chennai and Madurai are heaven for non veg , sea food lovers and spicy food lovers and Mumbai is heaven for chat lovers and in hyderabad biriyani, kebab , haleem, nihari are one of the best in the world and manglore is ice cream paradise ?
@Arun Sreenivasan not actuallu good…dood…..they just add so muchch of stupid flavourings.,that too not regional…but idiotic mixx of all cheese with currys..which is disastrous… may be u haven’t explored much of namma city foods..,!? Don’t say that..Nothing special..that hurts..!?
@S. davidson singaram ❤ its a slipper beat to Aggarwal… Love to see such things..!
Exactly
Neha Agarwal …… no paneer then it’s no good …….. paneer this and paneer that with some butter ……..

I wish we have these kinds of South Indian food in Malaysia. The Malaysian Indian food originates from South India. Historically, majority of the Malaysian Indians have roots that can be traced back to South India. ????????????
Yes Dravidian empire was there in Africa, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore. But due to some shifting of plates inside the earth some parts were submerged under sea called lemuria and other parts got shifted.
@Sourayan Biswas
Punjabis usually eat lot of wheat based stuff and milk/ghee is like soul for them.
Their Chai and Snacks is undoubtedly amazing.
I’m Fourth generation of South Indian Tamil migrants. ?
South Indian foods is boring for me so I more prefer Malay foods for my daily routine. You must try it all when you come to Malaysia.
Singapore also one of the best Southeast country with diverse population with heaven foods.
@Hare Krishna Thanks for your input. I’m sure punjabi and other north indian foods are amazing, but those foods are not really compatible with my stomach and taste buds, so I avoid those. 🙂 🙂 It’s really mind blowing how several different cultures and foods co-exist together in Malaysia and other south east asian countries.
@Sourayan Biswas
It’s available in limited area.
You can visit near Petaling street and Chinatown to eat Bengali food, those shops owned by Bangladeshi immigrants.
If you want to eat various South Asian cuisine you can visit Little India in Kuala Lumpur.
Most South Asian ethnics resided in Malaysia are Tamils and second largest are Punjabis so you can find their cultural foods.
Malay foods also amazing and as an Indian I always prefer Malay foods .
There is lot of Chinese restaurants so you can try it every corner of Malaysia.
Overall Malaysian foods is heaven.
We welcome you anytime. ?
@Su-Ling Chia I would love to visit Malaysia and taste Malay, Chinese, South Indian and Bengali foods which are available over there. Is Bengali food available in Malaysia? 🙂

There are few videos on Chennai’s street food scene and I’m very glad that yours is among the even fewer ones that makes a Chennaite feel this nostalgic. I can’t believe that you covered Karpagambal mess. You made me jump because I know that place so well! 🙂 I just regretting that you didn’t try the bhutta or the sundal at the beach and maybe a typical full scale Tamil breakfast would have also been nice.
Hi Varsha Narayanan, thank you so much for the lovely comment and we’re so glad you enjoyed the video. Karpagambal Mess was great- in fact all the messes we visited in Chennai were awesome. We love the city so much- the people, the food- it was our kind of place! Hope you like the other Chennai videos we have coming- 3 more to come- although there was still so much we missed out on.
